kj THE COACH’S KID

I grew up weaving through tackle-dummy sets across endzones and hurling myself into long-jump sand pits in rural towns across Texas. As the daughter of a Texas high school football coach, my relationship with and interrogation of sport began early and became the foundation for my academic curiosities. I explore sports because I love them while simultaneously recognizing their immense cultural impact.

Professionally, I’m a marketing communications leader with 14 years of experience managing creative communications projects, event marketing, brand storytelling, and strategic communication initiatives. I bring both professional practice and scholarly insight with expertise in brand management, digital marketing, and creative strategy to build cohesive brand identities, align messaging with organizational values, and deepen audience engagement to turn research-driven insight into impactful outcomes.
